Silentmax3D

Silentmax3D Luxury Edition: Silentmax® is a 12mm thick acoustic panel designed to reduce reverberation times in spaces like offices, classrooms, and modern interiors. Made from 100% recycled PET, it’s durable, non-flammable, and color-stable. The three-dimensional design combines flat panels with hybrid diffusers, offering nearly 2.4 times more active area than traditional panels. Silentmax® helps improve acoustic comfort by reducing echo and noise, which can harm concentration and clarity. Excessive reverberation affects speech, music, and spatial awareness, making it tiring to listen in echo-prone environments. Acoustics are often overlooked in modern apartments, where reverberation times impair speech and music quality. Silentmax® addresses this by absorbing sound energy, ensuring a more comfortable environment. Reverberation time should ideally range from 0.2 to 0.5 seconds, and can be controlled with acoustic panels, diffusers, and soft materials like carpets and curtains to reduce unwanted echoes.

Silentmax3D
Developed under a separate brand name, Silentmax® is a 12mm thick acoustic panel renowned for its excellent sound energy absorption. Designed to reduce reverberation times, it is ideal for various spaces such as modern interiors, offices, meeting rooms, classrooms, auditoriums, and more. Made from 100% recycled PET, Silentmax® is durable, non-flammable, and color-stable. Standard panel dimensions are 244x400x24 cm, 244x244x24 cm, and 122x200x24 cm, with custom sizes available up to a maximum height of 244 cm. For detailed information on its acoustic properties, please visit rdacoustic.cz or silentmax.eu.

The panel features a three-dimensional design that divides it into acoustic segments, combining the simplicity of cost-effective flat panels with the more advanced design of hybrid diffusers. Compared to flat panels, Silentmax® offers the same integration flexibility, but its active area is almost 2.4 times larger.

Acoustic Comfort
Silentmax® effectively reduces echo and noise in a simple, modern way. Noise has been proven to negatively affect human health. In spaces where architectural design neglects sound behavior, compensatory acoustic treatments like Silentmax® are necessary. Long reverberation times hinder concentration and make speech indistinct, while listening to the spoken word in echo-prone environments can be exhausting.

Improving Acoustics in Modern Interiors
Unbalanced acoustics are not only a concern in commercial or utility spaces. Despite their significant impact on psychological well-being, acoustics are often overlooked in modern apartments in favor of practical design choices. Excessive reverberation impairs speech clarity and intelligibility, and also affects music quality and spatial awareness. Modern living spaces, especially minimalist interiors, often lack acoustically absorbing materials like carpets.

Reverberation time is a key acoustic parameter in any enclosed space. It’s relatively easy to measure and should ideally range from 0.2 to 0.5 seconds. An overly dampened room can feel oppressive, while one without damping can create unpleasant echoes—like the annoying sound of a clinking spoon. The issue lies in the accumulation of acoustic energy caused by reflections from solid surfaces such as ceilings, floors, windows, and walls. Reverberation can be controlled using soft, acoustically absorbent materials, including purpose-built panels, diffusers, thick curtains, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
